Rainbows for Kids… Giving Kids Something to Look Forward to
Cardinals Manager Mike Shildt came out and played with the kids at the 2019 “Rainbows for Kids All-Star Game.”
Mike Shildt took to the microphone gave a very touching “pep talk” to the parents and kids. These families are going through a family member with cancer and a night like this one was such a special memory. Anyone who has helped Rainbows for Kids has had a hand in this event. Thank you to all our donors and volunteers for making these dreams come true for these kids and their parents.
One of the most-loved things Rainbows for Kids does is the annual All-Star Baseball Team. Recently we have started a “selfie” tradition:

Jason Motte selfie (Photo courtesy Jason Motte) . Matt Carpenter and Trevor Rosenthal are in the picture if you look hard as well as Fredbird.
Before the “selfies”- Skip Schumaker, Colby Rasmus and Brendan Ryan are in the pictures.
Former Cardinals catcher Glenn Brummer came out to a practice once.
